Composition is part of five limit Just intonation study. Harmony is based on 3 different levels. Each level consist of different chord groups with all possible inversions including changing of root as well. Five limit intervals harmony of the 1st order is based on two chord groups. Dominant chord group consist of: 1, 4/5, 2/3, 5/9 and 8/9. Subdominant chord group consist of: 1, 4/5, 2/3, 8/15, 8/9 and 16/45. Five limit intervals harmony of the 2ndt order is based on two altered chord groups. First chord group consist of: 1, 4/5, 2/3, 5/9, 5/12 and 3/10. Second chord group consist of: 1, 4/5, 2/3, 5/9, 5/12 and 25/72. Five limit intervals harmony of the 3rd order is based on free chord group. It means that any interval and number of tones can built free chord group, as long as we stay within five limit intervals, for example C7(#11) consisting of: 1, 4/5, 45/64 and 9/16. Composition explores all three orders of harmony.

Tuning system used for Autumn Fantasy of Martin the Mouse is given down in relation to the 12 tone equal temperament. Values are given in cents: C = +16; C# = -14; D = -2; D# = +31 E = +2; F = +14; F# = +96; G = +18; G# = +29; A = 0; A# = +12; B = -67

Composer bio:

ZORAN SCEKIC (Croatia), graduated in Graz (Austria) with BFA in jazz guitar, and continued post-graduate studies in Composition and Arrangement at Sibelius Music Academia. Apart from independent production of an original music, collaborating in creation of theatre performances and films, he participates at Free/Jazz festivals, music Biennial and works as a composer and arranger for Big Band and chamber orchestra. Since 2008 he works on five limit intervals micro tonal system based on his geometrical concept as a solution on ancient problem of preserving natural intervals. In 2009/10/11 - in Warsaw, Helsinki and Wien he had premiers of his micro tonal compositions, seminars about his micro tonal system and presentation of micro tonal keyboard prototype built in San Diego after his construction. Author of book 'Five limit' and co-author on book 'Music and Mathematics'. Currently works on multimedia project 'Panmonism' and five limit intervals harmony of the 3rd order.
