"tent rain sketch II" is based on a recording of rain hitting against a tent roof. The sketch could be heard as an illumination of this recording. I used the real-time programming language rtcmix (rtcmix.org) and a scale formed from an eleven note subset of the harmonics of a low G (taken from partials 16-32).

Nicholas Cline is a composer of acoustic and electroacoustic music. His compositions have been performed in the US and Europe and his collaborative film projects have been screened at festivals around the world. He was featured on the 2012 SEAMUS electroacoustic miniatures recording series: Re-Caged and received an honorable mention in the 2012-13 UnTwelve International Composition Competition. He holds degrees from Columbia College Chicago and Indiana University. He is currently studying and teaching aural skills at Northwestern University.
